This workshop will appeal to anyone looking to adopt a fresher, more painterly style to their work or maintain their plein air skills throughout the winter season.  Following a step by step approach, you will complete at least one “alla prima” painting.  Also known as “direct” or “wet-on-wet” it refers to a method of painting in one application.  Photographs will be provided but students may also bring their own if desired.

The focus will be on oils as the primary medium and all skill levels are welcome.  Acrylic painters with some experience are also welcome.
